Outlaw Star: 
The main characters in this anime contain a larger cast than most short serries but character development of all of them is rich and fullfilling. It is mainly, however, about Gene Starwind. I fell in love with each and every one of them. The soundtrack was amazingly perfect and I have downloaded that too. This is a science fiction meets fantasy anime and has some fifth element style to it. I just couldn't stop watching it. I think I watched this from start to finish with as few breaks as possible. Glued me to the TV. Epic...
